Handmade Merbau Salt Box
Solid merbau hardwood, hand-fitted hinged lid, shellac finish. 6" x 3.5" x 3.5". One-of-a-kind grain, made in Sydney. Every kitchen with a stove deserves a proper salt box within arm's reach. This one is hand-cut from solid merbau, a dense, richly coloured hardwood, with a lid hinged by hand — no metal hardware, just timber shaped to move smoothly on itself. Finished in shellac, an old-world finish that deepens the merbau's colour and protects it for daily use at the stove.

Spatula - Swagman

Each one is handcrafted in my Sydney workshop from sustainably sourced Australian Spotted Gum — known for its durability and natural beauty, with a warm ribbon grain that adds a rustic yet elegant touch to your kitchen. The smooth, rounded end is gentle on your cookware, so you get all the convenience of non-stick pans with none of the worry about scratches, and the tapered handle sits comfortably in the hand for easy control while you cook. Whether you're treating yourself or after the perfect gift for someone who loves to cook, the Swagman brings a bit of handmade Aussie charm to the kitchen — practical enough for daily use, handsome enough to leave out on show. Part of the Bushman's Kitchen collection — meet his stablemates the Drover (straight chisel edge, made for flat-tops and woks) and the Rouseabout (dual-corner end, made for saucepans and pots) elsewhere in my shop. Size: 360mm (14") long, 45mm (1¾") wide at the rounded cooking end, tapered down to 15mm (½") at the hanging end, 6–8mm (¼") thick throughout.
